The Leather Chair

Story: man has a flash of pleasure/enjoyment while sitting on a leather chair. He feels the skin against his skin, falls in love with how beautiful it is, how it makes his body feel cool and alive and stops feeling guilty about the leather chair, about the death behind it. The experience is as if he had simply changed the TV channel. With the appreciation of the chair, he recognizes a desire within himself to be beautiful and how himself being made into a chair seems nice, a good thing, to be enjoyed by someone else.

Literary Criticism

Aeden Cade is pure aesthetics. Weight, light, heat. What I am called to do—what is logical for me in terms of value regarding literary criticism—is to lead the reader into developing their sensitivity towards beauty in writing. For the humans of today, seeing is the most heightened sense.
