I have always only been able to read a little at a time. I want hit hard, upfront, to get free. I work all day building or repairing or maintaining or purchasing that I go dry on the flow of words and days pass where day and night turn on and off and I notice only making ground on my goal. Then I feel it grow—an exasperation—the falling off from the crest of the ride. So I cup my hands and flick through a few pages of something sublime and that night shine brighter than kerosene on a beach in a pool of tide. Esteemed; unresigned. At the front of the wave again.
