Can You Have Tragedy with a Center?

It seems to be perfectly reasonable that Gods who act worse than humans are not Gods. And when there are no Gods, there is atheism. It can only be that Greek tragedy hit as tragic due to there being no Gods capable of salvation. It would make you think that Christian metaphysics precludes the possibility of real suffering. How can grief be yours if you are sharing it? How can the comfort that a God brings not count for everything? Have there ever been Christian tragedies? What a mess! There is nothing more noble that a person can do than accept their suffering. Accept it directly or drink and get high or exercise—do whatever you can to lessen it—just accept it. Be a human being.
